Flashback Friday!

Taking a cue from Sayward over at Bonzai Aphrodite (love that site), here's a Flashback Friday for you!

Since we'll be heading down to SE Kansas next week for the Thanksgiving celebration with The Hubs' family, I figured I would share some photos from previous times with them.

{cousin's 2007 wedding, my first time meeting The Hubs' extended fam!}

PS--Our book comes out on November 28th! And we are scheduled for our first book signing on Wednesday, November 30th at Watermark Books (Douglas & Oliver in Wichita), 7:00pm! Breathe...breathe...breathe...

Vegan MoFo, Day 23: Roadtrip!

Today I'm going up to Reading, KS with my thesis advisor to volunteer a few hours to the good people there. Reading was hit by a tornado earlier this year, and the residents are still working on rebuilding. I think we're painting or cleaning up debris or something. Wish more people from our book project could go, but it is what it is.

Speaking of BOOK PROJECT...that sucker comes out at the end of November! Holla, I'm going to be a published author!! We're going to have book signings during which I will faint with happiness.

So I am going to the middle of nowhere-Kansas, north and east of Emporia (Google Map it!). Having never been out there, I'm going prepared:

{this is what I could pull together having not made the weekly trip
to the store yet, nothing fancy}

What are your favorite roadtrip foods?
