And we're serving vegan food (DUN dun dun....)...not including what others bring.
Here's what's on the Housewarming Party Menu:
--Chipotle Black Bean Soup (made before here) from jae steele's Ripe from Around Here. I've been head-over-heels for this soup for almost a year now, make it regularly, and want to share the goodness with my friends. Squeee!
--Amazing Rosemary Bread from VegWeb. Just something I've been seeing around lately and want to try out.
--Coconut-Cocoa Haystacks, also from VegWeb. I've made these for friends before, and they were so easy and good. This is kind of a request.
--Vegan Strawberry Fudge "Cheese" Cake, from VegWeb (what? that's what I do sometimes when I'm bored at work. Don't judge.) Otherwise to be known amongst my friends as "some soy sh*t in a pie pan."
--Vegan Fudgy-Pudding and Strawberries. This is basically the Fudgesicles! recipe from VegWeb that I tried a while back, but not yet frozen. It's faaaaabulous.
--Moscow Mules as my drink. From Shutterbean.
And if you haven't signed up yet for Vegan MoFo 2011, you. need. to. NOW.
My theme this year (my 2nd time!) is still in the works, but I'm thinking of doing a bunch of posts about "foodie"-type foods. This is based on a FB conversation I recently had...and got angry about...and will turn into something positive.
It's still a work in progress, but you shall see soon (OCTOBER 1st, FOOL!)...
In the meantime, ENJOY your Saturday and your weekend! We'll be alright here so long as the Moscow Mules don't run out :)
